Don Sherwood cares about you. Sort of. In some circumstances. Only if you don't ask questions. And especially if you're not concerned about breast cancer.

In the past, Congressman Sherwood has tried to help out health insurance companies -- giving them a loophole to avoid paying for things like breast cancer screenings. That sounds ridiculous, but it's true. This was all part of a proposal for something called Association Health Plans that Don supported in 2003. Insurance companies rewarded Don with some fat contribution checks (about $150,000).

That said, it's surprising to see a new advertisement from Don Sherwood where he touts his work "On The Road To The Cure!" for breast cancer. Seriously. It's painted all over the side of a big pink truck parked in Chinchilla, Lackawanna County.
